I’m thrilled to share with you my review of the Fire and Sunset Soiree cruise. Join me as we set sail on the Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady, a 4-night adventure that takes you from the vibrant city of Miami to the tropical paradises of Key West and Bimini, Bahamas.
Having personally embarked on this voyage as a solo sailor, I can assure you that it is a journey like no other. Let me start by describing the itinerary. We began our adventure in Miami, a city known for its energy and vibrant culture. From there, we sailed to Key West, a charming island with its own unique character and stunning natural beauty.
Here’s what I really loved about the cruise.
Welcome to Bimini, a hidden gem in the Bahamas, where we had the pleasure of visiting the exclusive Beach Club. Picture yourself lounging on pristine white sands, sipping a refreshing cocktail, and taking in the breathtaking views of crystal-clear turquoise waters. Shore Things offers a range of activities, from snorkeling and paddle boarding to ATV tours and golf cart rentals to explore the island.
Virgin Voyages Cruise caters to various dietary preferences, including vegan options. The culinary team onboard takes pride in curating a diverse menu that caters to all tastes and preferences. From fresh salads and flavorful plant-based dishes to delectable desserts, every meal was a delightful culinary experience.
My favorite place to dine was Pink Agave. I went twice, it was that good. The spicy potatoes and stuff pepper and corn was by far the best meal onboard. My server Jay was top notch. I enjoyed sitting at the bar watching the bartenders making drinks.
The Happenings Cast truly knows how to captivate its guests. Whether it’s a cabaret style show or a high-energy dance show, each evening is filled with excitement and unforgettable moments. My favorite show was Dual Reality. Great aerial and dance performance.
Solo sailing is a great way to make new friends.
Virgin Voyages really knows how to treat it’s solo sailors. I was welcomed with a note to join the solo sailor meet-up event. They had a special dinner for all the solo sailors at the Razzle Dazzle on the first night. It was really easy making friends onboard and finding fun things solo or with a group.
Despite being a solo sailor, I stayed in a Sea Terrace cabin. Let me tell you, the accommodations were nothing short of extraordinary. The cabin featured a spacious balcony with the notorious red hammock, where I could relax and soak up the stunning views of the sunsets and the glistening ocean. It was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the gentle sea breeze.
The Fire and Sunset Soiree cruise on Virgin Voyages Cruise left me with a sense of awe and wonder. The unique itinerary, the delicious vegan food options, the live entertainment, and the luxurious accommodations all came together to create a truly exceptional experience. If you’re looking for a cruise that goes beyond the ordinary and offers a touch of magic, this is the one for you.
Personally I can’t wait to get back onboard and check out more Caribbean islands and itineraries. If the Caribbean isn’t your thing, Virgin Voyages offers several other itineraries in the Med, UK and beyond. Be sure to check out my other posts about my experiences with Virgin Voyages.
